Professional Me

My journey in the world of communications engneering started in 1999 at the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) where I completed the Bachelor program in Telecommunications. From then on I continued to the Low Lands where I completed the Master program in Telematics at the University of Twente (The Netherlands). From the same university I acquired in 2010 my PhD degree on the topic of resource management in mobile (UMTS and LTE) networks. In pursuit of the southern sun I moved to Switzerland for a Postdoctoral position at the University of Bern where I lead projects on indoor localisation and mobile network virtualization. After 3.5 years I changed to my current position at ETH, the Systems Group, which I particularly enjoy with its challenges and new knowledge and know-how it brings.

Personal Me

I am a very energetic person who normally wants to do more than time allows. I am always on the search of new ways to develop myself and extend my knowledge of the world we live in in any of its aspects. I am Bulgarian and mostly proud of it. Having lived in western countries for the last 10 years I have amalgamated features from both cultures - the relax and sociable ways Balcan tribes with the organised and focused ways of their Germanic counterparts. Moslty, I am rather glad with the result.

Before having my charming son I used to spend much time in outdoor activities from meeting with friends to short nature walks to hicking. I love exploring other countries and the travel schedule is normally filled with exciting destinations in close and far corners of the Earth. I enjoy photography and arts and occasionally visit the theater or an exhibition.
